March 31, 2009... Learn more about Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU), the 12-week program that has helped more than 750,000 families positively change their financial future, at preview and enrollment sessions Thursday, April 16. The sessions, which are free, will be held at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Continuing Education Center (Bldg. 910) on Trident Technical College’s Main Campus, 2001 Mabeline Rd., North Charleston.

Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes. A Dave Ramsey FPU-certified financial counselor will give an overview of the program, explain program materials and goals, and wrap up with a Q&A session.

Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University will be offered at TTC May 7-July 23 on Thursdays, 6-8 p.m. Cost is $229, which includes attendance of a spouse or teenage child. FPU teaches families and individuals how to handle their money through common sense principles and small group accountability. The average family graduating from FPU pays off $5,300 in debt and saves $2,700 in the first 91 days of the program, and is completely out of debt, except for a mortgage, in 18 to 24 months.

Ramsey is a personal money management expert, national radio personality and best-selling author of “The Total Money Makeover.” He knows first-hand what financial peace means in his own life – living a true riches-to-rags-to-riches story. By age 26, Ramsey had established a $4 million real estate portfolio, only to lose it by age 30.
