Kids’ College summer camps at Trident Technical College help develop and expand children’s interests, stimulate creativity and provide unique learning opportunities on a college campus. This is TTC’s 12th year providing camps for children ages 6-16. New camp topics include chess, video gaming, etiquette, the Earth and building character.
Camps are held at TTC’s Main Campus in North Charleston except for a few culinary camps, which are held at the Culinary Institute of Charleston on the Palmer Campus in downtown Charleston.
Children ages 6-8 can take LEGOs in Motion, while ages 7-11 can enjoy Crazy Chemistry; Earth Camp; and NASA: Journey into Outer Space. For children ages 8-11, topics include Adventures in Comic Creations; Aviation Adventures; Biology Brainiacs; Brain Power; Chess Camp; Cool Kids with Character; CSI Trident; Fun with Digital Photography; Junior Engineers; Let Go of My LEGOs; MatheMagicians; Money Doesn’t Grow on Trees; My Dog Didn’t Eat My Homework; PC Troubleshooting and Repair; The Young Writer’s Club; and Video Gaming.
Camp topics for ages 12-16 include Chess Club; Computer Forensics; Creations in Graphic Design; Creative Writing; Fit, Fun and Physical Forever; Imaginative Photography; Junior Engineers; Neuropalooza; NXT Robots; PC Troubleshooting and Repair for Teens; PSAT/SAT Prep Course; Smart Money Now; Video Game Design; Web Design and Flash Animation; and Wired/Wireless Networking. The Youth Leadership Program for ages 12-16 consists of five modules that focus on interpersonal skills. Topics include communication, teamwork, decision-making, presentation and networking.
