TRIDENT TECHNICAL COLLEGE OFFERS FIRST-LEVEL LEADERSHIP COURSE

January 25, 2008...

First-Level Leadership offers real-world, actionable leadership skills training using tools, not just philosophies. This two-day course, offered by Trident Technical College’s Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development, meets 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5 and Wednesday, Feb. 6 in the Continuing Education Center (Bldg. 910) on TTC’s Main Campus, 2001 Mabeline Rd., North Charleston. Cost is $179.

Course topics include making the shift from supervisor to first-level leader, creating a climate for motivating and retaining employees, and managing the scope and speed of change. Attendees also learn how to build teams, identify and exceed customer expectations, and plan for process improvement.

Instructor Steve Price is the educational program and marketing consultant in TTC’s Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development. He is also an adjunct instructor for communication, customer service, ethics and leadership courses. He came to TTC in 2001 after retiring from a 30-year career with a Fortune 500 company. There, he developed training programs, facilitated seminars to executives of all levels and held several executive positions in Miami, San Juan and Orlando.
