Certificate:  Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development
Non-Credit Requirements: 100 contact hours and/or 10.0 CEUs

Trident Technical College’s Continuing Education and Economic Development Certified Nurse Aide offers comprehensive training for individuals desiring to become a Certified Nurse Aides for Long Term Care Facilities.   Students are required to complete 50 hours of classroom training plus 50 hours of clinical work at a Long-Term Care Facility. Students who successfully complete both classroom and clinical training are eligible to apply to take the South Carolina Nurse Aide Certification Exam

CNA Program Admission Requirements and Process

Classroom Training:  (XPHN 511)

  1. Complete a Continuing Education and Economic Development registration form.
  2. Pay $239 Tuition to TTC at time of registration.
  3. Purchase Text and Workbook from ConED Information Desk/Book Store  Cost: $48.75 

Clinical Training:   (XPHN 512)

  1. Successful completion of classroom training.
  2. Present proof of negative results of two (2) PPD skin tests. Must be dated within 90 days of clinical start date.  
  3. Complete a Continuing Education and Economic Development registration form.
  4. Pay $259 Tuition to TTC at time of registration.

Refund Policy

Trident Technical College reserves the right to cancel courses due to insufficient enrollment or instructor non-availability in which case students will receive a full refund. Students will receive a full refund if cancellation is requested 11 or more calendar days before the 1st day of the course.  Registration can be transferred to another student.  Seventy-five (75) percent of the registration fee will be refunded if cancellation is   within 10 calendar days of the 1st day of the course.  No-shows are responsible for the registration fee.  No refunds will be given after the course begins.  Students must attend the 1st day of both class and clinical to be eligable to continue the course.  A refund will not be given to students who do not attend the1st day and are thereby dropped from the course.
