Trident Technical College’s Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development’s Medical Assistant Step Program is designed to train individuals to become Medical Assistants over a 12 month period by taking one course (step) at a time.       When students finish one course or step one, they move on to the next course until they have successfully completed all required courses within the program.

The Medical Assistant Step Program typically meets a couple evenings per week.   The program also incorporates WebCT (online) technology in most of its courses.  All homework assignments are completed online requiring students to have  Internet access.  Homework assignments are expected to take an additional four and half hours per week and are required to be turned in as scheduled.
