ZPDC 559 Introduction to MS Access 2003 - Instructor: James Martin
This three-hour, hands-on session introduces participants to the process of planning, creating, and editing simple databases using Microsoft Access.  Participants will learn basic database concepts and terminology and gain practical experience developing a simple, single-table database.  Participants will also learn how to create tables and design basic queries, forms, and reports.  Previous experience with Microsoft Excel is helpful but not required.

ZPDC 586 Intermediate MS Access 2003 - Instructor: James Martin
This three-hour, hands-on session is the sequel to ZDCA 559 (Introduction to Microsoft Access) and focuses on table and form design.  Participants will learn how to plan and develop a multi-table database with forms capability.  Participants will also learn how to modify database design for changing needs.  Specific topics include table relationships, primary/foreign keys, lookup tables, sub-datasheets, forms design, combo boxes, and sub-forms.       
Prerequisite: ZDCA 559, Introduction to Microsoft Access


ZPDC 587 MS Access 2003 Queries & Reports - Instructor: James Martin
This three-hour, hands-on session focuses on in depth, useful techniques for querying a Microsoft Access database.  Participants will learn how to create and customize database query reports.  Specific topics include querying text/strings, numeric data, dates, creating parameter queries, creating calculation and summary queries, using Boolean logic in queries, and adding calculated fields to reports.       
Prerequisite: ZDCA 559, Introduction to Microsoft Access
