In the spring and summer of 2006, South Carolina Educational Television crews came to Charleston to film the Charleston Chefs component of their Carolina Chefs series. In addition to filming a virtual tour of the Culinary Institute, working in the Culinary Institute's amphitheater kitchen, SCETV shot segments with the Culinary Institute Chef Council members Chef Bob Waggoner of Charleston Grill, Chef Frank Lee of Slightly North of Broad, Chef Brett McKee of OAK Steakhouse, Chef Frank McMahon of Hank's Seafood and Chef Donald Barickman of Magnolias, Blossom and Cypress Lowcountry Grille. The program has aired numerous times. The most recent date is August 26, 2007.
